
Team Leading
LEVEL 2
QUALIFICATION: NVQ in Team Leading (ILM Level 2).
DURATION: The duration of this course is 6 - 12 months.
AIM OF THE COURSE: To develop leadership skills for team leaders and managers.
ENTRY AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
All participants should ideally be working in teams or cells within their company.
Working wihin a leadership role is not a prerequisite.
Ideally you should have a background which will enable you to benefit from the programme.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
Team leading skills - Conflict and change, encouraging creativity, valuing diversity.
Getting the work done - Monitoring risk assessment, rights and responsibilities.
Leading people - Team structures, coaching, motivating the team.
Communication - Building a team, information systems, making a presentation.
DELIVERY:
The programme consists of 6 units, 4 are mandatory with 2 optional units. These can be delivered as wokshops and one-to-one tutorials on entirely one-to-one.
ASSESSMENT:
Assessment is via knowledge based on two short answer questions per segment or a short reflective review of each segment.
PROGRESSION:
Directly onto full ILM Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading.
ILM MEMBERSHIP:
On achievement you are eligible to apply for Associate membership of the institute of Leadership and Management (AMInstLM)
