About Us

Back in 1983, when it all started, Academy of Training was based in Tavistock in Devon, where we concentrated on providing hairdressing training. Since then we have seen significant changes within the company.

We are now based in Plymouth, with extensive contracts not only throughout Devon and Cornwall, but right across the UK, particularly since our acquisition of SPA Training in 2008.

Our dedicated training facilities at our Plymouth city centre head office provide a base for our teams of trainers and assessors, as well as facilities for interviews, initial assessment, induction, teaching and learning.

We have established an enviable status for providing high quality training covering a wide range of occupations.
